I'm sure this would have been one of the last times that Roy "Painted up", It was taken during his time as a guest with UK band 'Doctor and the Medics' when they released a cover version of ABBAs "Waterloo" in 1986.
This is a comic called The Hornet and every week they did a two page 'Spotlight' on an artist. This issue featured Roy and is dated July 28th 1973
So now you know what was said between Roy and Jeff when Roy decided to leave ELO !! (Well maybe it was something else, but being a childrens comic they had to change the words slightly)
Have you got a copy of this poster ? If so,you may like to know that in the 'Miller's collectables price guide' published in 1996, it's value (Mounted, framed and glazed) was between £500 and £600
And while you're up in the loft, see if you can find one of these..
Here's Wizzard drummer Charlie Grima in action, Charlie now teaches blind children to play drums and keyboards. He also does a bit of acting and was recently in an episode of the UK TV show 'The Bill'
This is me and Charlie in a pub somewhere in London.
And here we are in my kitchen ( Or I should say the wife's kitchen). I've noticed something very strange about this photo...................
Take a look at this picture from Wizzard's 'Eddie and the Falcons' album.I was amazed to find three coincidences between this and the picture above it.The first thing I noticed was the way Charlie is sitting on the chair !! Then I saw that both me and Roy are holding white mugs !!!! And then, the biggest shock of all is to find that the bloke serving behind the counter looks exactly like my wife !!
Here's Keith and Charlie in a press advert for Roger's drums
