Keith, seen here, also sent me these shots of Wizzard performing at London's Wembley "Rock 'n' Roll Festival"
It was Wizzards debut gig on August the 5th 1972,and in this photo you can see Bill Hunt, Nick Pentelow and Rick Price, plus loads of other people in the crowd who's names I can't remember
Other artists on the bill included Chuck Berry and Bill Haley
At the time of this gig, 10538 Overture by ELO had just entered the UK charts
Many thanks to Keith for sending me these pictures
After leaving Wizzard,Keith joined a band called The Rockin' Berries. Though not in the band anymore, he is now their manager.
And here he is with me in the pub.
If you were a member of the Wizzard Watch'a Society, you probably have a copy of this picture somewhere
The press advert for Wizzards first single, Ball Park Incident
I like this picture, taken during a performance of Ball Park Incident on BBC TV.It was not done at the time of the record being in the charts, this was a TOTP special in 1973.If you have ever seen the video you will see the band gradually disappear before the end of the song, thats because they are off to perform Angel Fingers, which was the next song and the end of the programme. For some reason, the Ball Park clip has been shown several times over the years, but the BBC have not yet shown the version of Angel Fingers.
