ME AND ROY....THROUGH THE YEARS..I wasn't going to put this one on here,I look such a prat !!,However it's a lovely picture of Roy,it was taken just after a Helicopters gig at The Marquee in London in 1980.
Still at the Marquee,Its now 1981,The excuse for a beard has gone but the silly grin is still there..
It's 1982 now,after a gig (advertised as Roy Wood's Wizzard !!) in Dunstable.
This was taken in 1983 in a pub in Birmingham, and if only Roy had been standing a bit nearer to me,he'd have had two big ears sticking out of his head !
I'm not sure where or when this was,but it must have been around the mid eighties (No I don't mean the temperature either!!) I'll guess at 1984
Unfortunately,I've never kept a diary, and I have no real record of where or when I have seen Roy,I would think this is around 1985
I know this was taken at the Heartbeat charity concert at the N.E.C Birmingham,on March 15th 1986.
This was taken at The Pavillion in Hemel Hempstead after a Big Band gig on the 22nd December 1993,It was the same day that Roy and the band played 5 tracks live on the Jackie Brambles show for BBC Radio 1
On November the 6th 1997,The Roy Wood Big Band played a gig at the Derby Assembly Hall,Afterwards the band and guests all went for a meal at an Indian Restuarant.I was lucky enough to be a guest on that night
In the pub before a gig at the Nottingham Commodore on October 14th 2000
St. Paul's Gallery in Birmingham 2005,at the launch a limited edition print of two Move album covers in memory of Carl Wayne.
