This picture was taken in the pub, just before a Roy Wood's Army gig at High Wycombe in the UK on the 25th November 1999.No one at the time, noticed the sign on the wall behind Roy !.Thanks to that,I can't show this picture to my Grandmother (Well that and the fact that she's been dead for 20 years) In the UK The Dog's Bollocks is the name of a very nice beer, It means 'The Best', so maybe it's in the right place next to Woody who is, without doubt The Dog's Bollocks
While at the gig I treated myself to a Woody watch (One of only 50 made) and I've just spent the last 5 minutes with my arm twisted upside down in my scanner to get a picture so you can see it. I did try scanning another part of my body at the same time but my wife came in the room and caught me
This is my gold plated "Woody" mug, (Not the easiest thing to scan, harder still when it still has tea in it)
Here is Roy when he was a baby, even then he was thinking about the song he wrote for The Move "Wave the flag and stop the train"
Here he is a few years later in the very early days of The Move
I wonder what Roy could be saying in this photo ? Something like, "Listen chaps I've got this great idea for a new band"
Here's The Move going down the road in the world famous 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'
And here they are a few years later going down the pub in Roy's own Vanden Plas 1300
This is quite a rare picture of The Move, looks like Roy's hair is starting to turn pink already! And could that be Trevor about to burst into a smile?
Well it didn't last long, here he is again after 'Fighting for his country'
