Did you know that "I wish it could be Christmas Everyday" was first released on Warner Bros, untill someone realised that Wizzard were still signed to do one more single for Harvest. This is the Warners demo
And this is how the original release looked. It was soon withdrawn though
Here it is on the Harvest label,If you have a copy,You will notice a sticker with the Harvest number on it covering up the Warners number that was printed on the sleeve
It was also re released in 1974, here is the press advert for it
It was released again in 1981 with See my baby jive on the B side, and got back into the charts at number 41
In 1984 the single was released again in a gatefold and a single picture sleeve,(There were two different labels for some reason)This year saw the single go to number 23 in the UK charts
Roy did the sleve for this one
He also did an extended 12" re mix of the single this year
11 years later a Japanese band called Scanch released a cover version of it on a 3" CD single. They also did their own version of the sleeve !
Louis Clark also did a cover version of this Christmas classic, though he called it Hooked On Christmas (featuring I wish it could be Christmas everyday)It was released on Jet records in 1982
