This rare UK single was written,produced and sung by Roy for a band called Acid Gallery. It's called Dance round the maypole.

Another rarity, by a band called Grunt Futtock, featuring Roy on vocals, this is called Rock 'n' roll Christian. The producer of this single was Andrew Loog Oldham and I had the chance to ask him about it in an interview he did for Dotmusic,

Back to 1980 we go,and I remember being at this gig at The Marquee in London on the 15th Dec.I got chatting to another fan in the gents (As you do).And 20 years later after seeing my web site he got in touch to remind me of our meeting,and also to offer one of the photo's that he took that night.So thanks to Chris at Kick Photography for getting in touch and letting me share this great photo with you
This is a picture of me with someone who not only used to demolish piano's,but was in Wizzard,ELO and did session work for The Move.........Bill Hunt.Some of you may not know that his Nephew is Miles Hunt of The Wonder Stuff.
This photo of Bill was sent out to members of the Wizzard fan club.
Another piano bites the dust.
Bill has recently been working on some tracks for his son Will,who is himself a fine musician.This picture is of Will,Bill and me,And the tambourine that Bill is holding was sent to him by a fan back in the early 70s.The artwork on it is great,I wonder who and where that fan is now ?,Maybe one day they will see this and let me know.
Bill gave me some of his memorabilia last time we met and I thought you might like to see some of it.This is a copy of the letter that was sent out to parents of children from Stockland Green School,telling them about the 'day trip' to a recording studio to do the backing vocals on Wizzard's Christmas single,'I wish it could be Christmas everyday'.Just imagine being a Roy Wood fan and your kid brings this letter home !!(Notice I've resisted the temptation to fill out the return slip to send back)
Bill also gave me this camera script for when The Move were on Top of the pops performing 'California Man'.
